The Industrial Training Institute (ITI) Margao was established in 1975 under the Craftsmen Training Scheme (CTS) to address the need for skilled workers in Goa’s public and private sectors. The institute provides a variety of engineering and non-engineering trade courses that are designed to meet the demands of the Indian industrial environment. Many of the courses at ITI Margao are affiliated with the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT), ensuring the curriculum is aligned with national standards. The ITI aims to reduce unemployment among educated youth by equipping them with the necessary skills for both employment and self-employment opportunities
